eLearning Academy is a Louisiana state-approved and nationally accredited private virtual school (K–12), and the only Cognia-accredited private virtual school in Louisiana, designed for the modern family. Successful Since 2000
After years of using innovative methods to deliver education, we, like our students and families, have learned a lot. We have learned that every student can learn given the right combination of tools and support. We have learned that students are anxious to learn and want to go farther and deeper than one might imagine. We have learned that family is integral to success, and involving the family is not only rewarding, but deeply enriching. We have also learned that twenty-one years is just the beginning of even greater innovation and success for us and for our students.
In our years of operation, we have seen the difference our individualized learning approach can make in the lives of both parents and children. We offer online bundles and single courses to homeschoolers and traditional school students. We also provide optional instructional services and onsite instruction for those in the local vicinity of an eLearning Center.
Where it Started
eLearning began as a dream in the mind of Nancy Toups, a traditional school teacher who yearned for a way to reach all of her students in class. Despite her best efforts, it always seemed as though some students would fall behind while others were bored with the average pace.
The solution came to life when she collaborated with Beth Marcello and Celeste Robichaux to found The eSchool, Inc. All three women had experience with traditional education as well as homeschooling their own children, allowing them to see the advantages and disadvantages of both methods of education.
We are interested in opening more Louisiana locations and beyond. In addition to our current locations in Louisiana, we also have affiliate learning pods in Denham Springs and Lafayette, Louisiana.
