Successful Since 2000

After years of using innovative methods to deliver education, we, like our students and families, have learned a lot. We have learned that every student can learn given the right combination of tools and support. We have learned that students are anxious to learn and want to go farther and deeper than one might imagine. We have learned that family is integral to success, and involving the family is not only rewarding, but deeply enriching. We have also learned that twenty-one years is just the beginning of even greater innovation and success for us and for our students.

In our years of operation, we have seen the difference our individualized learning approach can make in the lives of both parents and children. We offer online bundles and single courses to homeschoolers and traditional school students. We also provide optional instructional services and onsite instruction for those in the local vicinity of an eLearning Center.

Where it Started

eLearning began as a dream in the mind of Nancy Toups, a traditional school teacher who yearned for a way to reach all of her students in class. Despite her best efforts, it always seemed as though some students would fall behind while others were bored with the average pace.

The solution came to life when she collaborated with Beth Marcello and Celeste Robichaux to found The eSchool, Inc. All three women had experience with traditional education as well as homeschooling their own children, allowing them to see the advantages and disadvantages of both methods of education.

Due to continued growth, our original locations in Thibodaux and Houma, Louisiana have relocated to larger facilities. We were also able to open more Louisiana locations in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. In addition to our locations, we also have affiliate learning pods in Golden Meadow, Morgan City, and Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.

Our Vision and Values

eLearning aspires to enhance the quality of education and family life in North America, and beyond, through personalized, guided, online education. We strive to provide a peaceful and positive environment that focuses on important values such as respect, excellence, health, and family.

Mutual Respect: We educate students as individuals and respect differences amongst students, parents, and team members. We provide individualized learning plans and allow for self-­paced progression of academics. We emphasize good manners at all times and show respect for all people, facilities, and our environment.

Excellence: We strive to help each student achieve his/her best through encouraging strong work ethic and healthy habits of study. We focus on helping the student achieve his/her personal goals rather than standardized benchmarks based on age or grade level.

Health of Mind, Body, and Spirit: We believe that total health is the core of child development and leads to happiness and peace in the heart of the student, allowing for high achievement in every area of development. We strive to help students, family and team members develop physical fitness, healthy eating habits, and positive nurturing of the mind and spirit.

Family: We believe that a strong family is the essence of a child’s education and also the foundation of a good community, country, and world. We encourage parents to direct their children’s education while we support and serve as facilitators and consultants assisting parents in every area of development.
