eLearning offers three levels of service for homeschool families. Level 1 provides parent directed curriculum with basic tech support. Level 2 provides teacher directed curriculum with full support from one of our education consultants, as well as tech support. Level 3 provides on site instruction at one of our learning centers. Which level of service is right for you?
Level 3 services are offered only at our learning centers, so we’ll eliminate that choice here, as most parents reading this will not live near a learning center. If you are considering Level 3,please call our main office at 866.477.9444 or call the learning center nearest you.
So what is the big difference between Level 1 and Level 2?
All service levels receive the same innovative online curriculum and tech support. The biggest difference between Level 1 and Level 2 is the help of one of our education consultants. Level 2 families are assigned an education consultant to assist in choosing the appropriate courses for the student, scheduling and pacing the student’s work, grading the student’s work, and maintaining high school transcripts (if applicable). The consultant will meet with parents, either in person, by phone or via the Internet, three times a year to set goals and evaluate progress. Education consultants are available to assist if students are having difficulty mastering a concept. Level 2 students who meet the graduation requirements receive an eLearning diploma. We recognize the homeschooling parent is the child’s teacher. We are here to assist and guide, not replace the role of the parent. Level 2 services are $120 per month per elementary student (K-8) and $150 per month per high school student (9-12).
Level 1 families are assigned to team members who monitor the student’s work and input grades, but parents schedule work, pace the students, and grade offline work such as writing assignments. Parents maintain their own transcripts and issue their own diplomas upon graduation. Team members provide initial training for parents and are available to assist with technical issues and course selections, but do not provide help with lessons. Level 1 services are $50 per month per student. There is no registration fee for Level 1 services.
So which level is right for your family? Are you confident in your ability to manage your students’ daily work and progress? Level 1 will probably work for you. Experienced homeschool families often choose Level 1, but parents new to homeschooling can do Level 1 also. We provide the training you need to help you homeschool with confidence. If you try Level 1 and feel you need more support, you can switch to Level 2 at any time.
Are you concerned that you are not able to provide the level of education your children deserve? First of all, relax! Like the home improvement center commercial says, “You can do it. We can help.” However, you may feel more confident with the help of one of our Education Consultants. Level 2 is a good fit for families who want the freedom of homeschooling but prefer guidance from an experienced hand. If you start at Level 2 and feel you need less support, you can switch to Level 1. You can even choose Level 2 for one student and Level 1 for a sibling if you wish.
