I have been married for 26 years to my wonderful husband, Paul. We have two adult sons, one who is currently in the United States Army. I also have a dog named Daisy.

Professional Profile
I am a newly retired public high school teacher with 33 years of teaching experience. I believe that I have been given a precious gift… the gift of working with and teaching children. This is my first year working at eLearning. I am very excited to continue to do what I love… working with and teaching children.

Education, Honors, Certifications, Awards
I am a graduate of Nicholls State University with a Bachelors of Science in Education with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. I also have a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Nicholls State University. During the 26 years of teaching chemistry at Thibodaux High School, I have acquired about 9 “You Made a Difference” awards and two “National High School Scholars” awards, both acquired by nominations from students.

Key Qualifications
I am a certified and highly qualified teacher in the state of Louisiana. I am certified to teaching biology, chemistry, and middle school science. I have 33 years of teaching experience in the high school setting. I love working with students and watching them grow academically, socially, and intellectually.

Professional Development
In the past, I have attended yearly science conferences to learn about the latest science teaching practices. Also, I have been trained in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) in both chemistry and in agriscience.
